By downloading, installing, or using the Screening Clearing app or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Screening Clearing is a personal scheduling tool that helps adults keep track of routine health screening appointments — such as blood pressure checks, cancer screenings, and dental visits — based on publicly available general guidelines. The Service is a personal organiser. It is not a healthcare provider, medical service, diagnostic tool, or clinical decision-support system.

3. Not Medical Advice

The Service does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All content within the app and on this website is provided for general informational and organisational purposes only. Nothing in the Service constitutes, or should be interpreted as, professional medical advice.

Screening schedules shown in the app are based on general population guidelines from public health authorities. They are not personalised medical recommendations. Your individual circumstances — including personal and family medical history, risk factors, and existing conditions — may mean that different timing or different tests are appropriate for you.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making any decision about your health, screening schedule, or medical care. Do not delay seeking medical attention based on anything you read or see in the Service.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 16 and located in the European Union, you must have verifiable parental consent before providing any personal data. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

5. In-App Purchases

Screening Clearing offers optional premium features available through in-app purchases, processed via Apple App Store or Google Play Store using RevenueCat. All billing, payment processing, and subscription management is handled by Apple or Google according to their respective terms. Any queries about charges, refunds, or cancellations should be directed to the relevant store.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. We have no obligation to provide refunds beyond what is required by applicable store policy or law.

6. User Data and Privacy

All data you enter in the app is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for a full description of how data is handled within the app and on this website.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and materials in the Service — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and the app interface — are owned by Screening Clearing and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

8. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Scrape, crawl, or extract content from the website or app in an automated manner
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its related systems

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that scheduling information will be complete, accurate, or up to date at all times.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Screening Clearing and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including but not limited to reliance on any scheduling information provided.

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or €10, whichever is greater.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union, including the GDPR where applicable. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the European Union member state in which you reside, or as otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
