The Short Version

Screening Clearing is built on a zero-knowledge, offline-first architecture. Everything you enter in the app — your profile, health history, and screening records — is stored exclusively on your device. We have no server, no database, and no technical means to access, read, or share your data. We don't collect it because we have deliberately built a system that makes it impossible to do so.

Regulatory Standards

We do not collect personal data from the app. But our architecture goes further than that: by keeping all sensitive information under your exclusive physical control, Screening Clearing is designed to exceed the requirements of GDPR (European Union) and CCPA (California, USA). There is no data held by us to access, correct, port, or delete — because it never left your device in the first place.

The App Experience

The following applies entirely to the Screening Clearing mobile app and the data you enter within it.

Data Stored on Your Device

All data you enter — including your age, gender, health history, and screening appointment records — is stored using your device's local storage. This storage is:

  • Private to you. It is sandboxed by the operating system and inaccessible to other apps or to us.
  • Never transmitted. No data is sent to our servers or any third-party service.
  • Yours to delete. Data retention is managed entirely by you. When you delete the app, the operating system immediately wipes all associated local storage. There is no cloud backup, no residual copy.

Data We Do Not Collect from the App

We do not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

  • Your name, email address, or any contact information
  • Your health history, screening records, or appointment data
  • Your age, gender, or any profile information you enter in the app
  • Location data
  • Device identifiers for tracking or advertising purposes

In-App Purchases — RevenueCat

The app uses RevenueCat to process in-app purchases. RevenueCat processes only the transaction data strictly necessary to fulfil your purchase (such as a purchase token issued by Apple or Google). No health history, screening records, or any data you enter in the app is shared with RevenueCat. Please refer to RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details on their data handling.

Push Notifications

If you grant notification permission, Screening Clearing sends local-only notifications. These are triggered entirely by your device's internal clock — there is no server-side scheduling, no external ping, and no network communication involved. Your notification preferences and timing never leave your device.

This Website

The following applies to screeningclearing.com only, and is entirely separate from the app experience described above.

Website Analytics — Google Analytics 4

This website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site (e.g. which pages are read most). This analytics data is collected only with your explicit consent via our cookie banner. It contains no health data from the app and is used solely to improve the website content. You can withdraw consent at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer.

Web Hosting — Server Logs

Our web hosting provider may collect standard server logs — such as IP addresses and request timestamps — for security and infrastructure maintenance purposes. These logs are never linked to any data you enter within the app, and we do not use them to identify individual visitors.

Children

Screening Clearing is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change our data practices in a meaningful way, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Given our offline-first architecture, any future change would most likely expand transparency, not reduce it.
