Our Mission
We help individuals stay on track with their preventative health screenings. Millions of people miss recommended screenings — not because they don't care, but because the guidance is buried in clinical documents or varies by country, age, and risk level. We translate that guidance into clear, actionable schedules that anyone can follow.
Who We Are
Screening Clearing Editorial is the content team behind the Screening Clearing app and this website. We are not medical doctors. Our expertise is in research rigour: locating, reading, and accurately summarising official public health guidelines so that our readers never have to navigate dense clinical documentation themselves.
Every claim we publish traces back to a primary source — a government health body, international medical society, or peer-reviewed systematic review. If we cannot source it, we do not publish it.
Editorial Process
Every article on this site goes through the following steps before publication:
- Primary source identification. We locate the most current guidelines from authoritative bodies: the NHS (UK), CDC and USPSTF (US), and relevant international societies (e.g. ESGE, ACG, ACS).
- Cross-reference. Where guidelines differ by country or risk level, we report all variants and explain the differences. We do not cherry-pick the most alarming or most reassuring figure.
- Plain-language rewrite. We rewrite clinical language for a general audience without distorting meaning. Technical terms are defined in context.
- Source citation. Every factual claim is linked to its primary source in the article's reference section. Readers can verify everything we write.
- Date-stamping and review. Each article displays its publication and last-reviewed date. We audit articles annually or whenever major guidelines are updated.
